Music making from birth to five years

Tiddly-Om-Pom-Poms is a musical programme written and delivered by specialist staff from Blackpool Music Service. TOPPS aims to provide weekly high quality music making sessions giving young children the confidence, ambition and aspirations necessary to fulfil their musical potential.

Each week, our specialists will be visiting Blackpool’s children’s centres and primary schools to work with carers and children aged from birth to five years.

Our aim is to introduce young children to music and to provide them with personalised
opportunities to enjoy collective music-making.

Children will have fun singing, playing instruments and moving to music in their weekly session. TOPPS is free for parents and children, and Blackpool Music Service provides instruments to all centres.

Programmes are designed to meet Early Learning Goals and feature educational themes and a variety of activities to suit all children’s learning styles.

Parents and carers will be encouraged to develop the skills and confidence required to flourish as musical role models.
