The story of ‘Elmer’ has provided an inspiring programme for Blackpool communities to work together to support a very important cause, Brian House Children’s Hospice. In our support of this initiative Blackpool Music Service has invited Elmer to our Tiddly-om-pom-poms sessions.
Elmer the elephant lives amongst a grey herd of elephants where he tries to hide his true self but, as the story unfolds Elmer finds that his friends love him for actually being his true self.
Our related Tiddly-om-pom-poms sessions will provide Elmer based songs and rhymes, with activities looking at colours and puppets and which will promote inclusivity and friendship.

We hope that our contribution will promote the success of this initiative, provide greater awareness of inclusion and, of the Brian House Children’s Hospice.
“If you’ve not tried to find the many wonderfully decorated elephants across Blackpool please take your younger children to see what our communities have contributed. It was certainly a very special day for me and my grandchildren!” – Andrew White, Music Adviser.
