1st Place - Norbreck Primary Academy

Choir of the Year 2018

We held our 15th Primary School Choir of the Year competition on Monday 19th March. Twelve wonderful choirs from Blackpool Primary Schools and Academies competed for the prize of Choir of the Year. Last year’s winners from Anchorsholme Primary Academy entertained us whilst the winners were being chosen. Each choir sang an 8 minute varied programme, which was very enjoyable. Our very much respected adjudicators, Mrs Janice Pounds and Mr Neill Oldham had the unenviable task of deciding upon the winners.

The winners of Choir of the Year 2018 was Norbreck Primary Choir who took first place.

Second place went to St Nicholas Church of England Primary School
Third Place to Holy Family Catholic Primary School

2nd Place - St Nicholas C of E Primary School

Best 3 form entry school – Waterloo Primary Academy

Best 2 form entry school – Baines’ Endowed Primary Choir

Best 4 form entry school – St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary Choir

3rd Place - Holy Family Catholic Primary School

Outstanding Achievements were also awarded to; St John Vianney Catholic Primary School, Blackpool Gateway Academy, Stanley Primary School, Roseacre Primary Academy, Devonshire Primary Academy, Bispham Endowed Church of England Primary School.

If your child is interested in developing their voice Blackpool Music Service now have an excellent LA choir which rehearses at Blackpool Music Centre every Tuesday from 4.00pm until 5.00pm (term time only).

The rehearsals are very enjoyable and the repertoire extensive. All items are chosen with the pupils in mind, so all pupils can participate with confidence and they perform at several prestigious venues during each year.
